Bollywood actor, Akhil Mishra — who was best known for his memorable portrayal of the character Librarian Dubey in the iconic Indian movie “3 Idiots”— has passed away. He was 58.

According to reports, Akhil had been grappling with health issues for some time, specifically related to high blood pressure.

He was reportedly standing on a stool when a sudden loss of balance resulted in a grievous head injury.

The incident unfolded while Akhil’s wife, actress Suzanne Bernert, was away in Hyderabad for a film shoot

Akhil Mishra’s illustrious career spanned across various facets of the entertainment industry. He graced the television screen with his remarkable presence in shows such as “Bhanwar,” “Uttaran” (in the role of Umed Singh Bundela), “Udaan,” “CID,” “Shrimaan Shrimati,” “Bharat Ek Khoj,” and “Rajani,” among others.

His contributions to the silver screen were equally noteworthy, with roles in movies like “Don,” “Well Done Abba,” and “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi.” However, it was his portrayal of the character Librarian Dubey in the cinematic masterpiece “3 Idiots” that etched his name in the annals of Indian cinema.
