Gaza offensive: Transgenders join anti-Israel protest

The eunuch society of Karachi came to the streets in solidarity with the Palestinians.

Karachi’s Trans Community and civil society activists on Sunday to protest against the ongoing military offensive in Gaza.

Shemales protested outside the Karachi Press Club against the Israeli bombing of Gaza.

The participants in the protest carried various placards and banners, including Pakistani and Palestinian flags, with anti-Israel slogans written on them.

Transgender leader Dr. Mehrib Mueez Awan said, “Why is the Israeli brutality not visible to the world?”

The international community must take permanent steps to resolve the Palestinian conflict, Mehrib said.

 

Khanum, a transgender, said Arab countries were afraid to criticise Israel for fear of offending the US. “They should pressure Israel to stop it from killing innocent civilians,” Khanum said.
