Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, and wife of PTI chief Imran Khan, was interrogated for over four hours on Thursday when she appeared before a team of the National Accountability Bureau in Rawalpindi to record her statement in the Toshakhana case.
In a call-up notice, Bibi was to appear before the combined investigation team of NAB Rawalpindi to record the statement with answers to questions already dispatched to her in the state gifts case.
The former first lady was present in the NAB office for four and a half hours where she was asked several questions.
“Moreover, you are directed to produce the state gifts retained by you before the CIT along with complete details/record of all retained state gifts and detailed record of their sale,” the call-up notice sent to Bushra Bibi stated.
The details of the gifts that were given in the call-up notice showed one locket with a chain, a pair of ear tops, two rings, pair of bracelets, a necklace (gold & diamond), one bracelet (gold and diamond), one ring (gold and diamond), pair of earrings (gold and diamond), one necklace with chain, 1xpair of earrings, and ring & bracelet watch.
The call-up notice stated that gifted state assets received by her were not deposited in Toshakhana for fair price assessment in contravention of rules/producers.
